So it has come time to get things rolling on the Spring 2009 MR2 event here in Florida. We had a great time last year and would like to build on it to make this years event even better. So lets get the word out to the other msg boards, MR2 owners, and possible sponsors. Remember last year we had almost 70 MR2s and well over 100 people attend.

But yet I am limited to the people i know and the people on the "other" forum as far a word of mouth. But I can wear chelsea's name tag again and sell raffel tickets.. Laughing

We also need to discuss location and dates. I enjoyed Old Town, but I would like something different this year, suggestions?

Rick, drop the word on some folks and get them over here posting about it. I'm gonna get in touch with Justin (the guy with the custom white spyder) and see about having another event website built.

but anyway I can help. I'm in charge of a food distribution company, so if you think that I could help organizing the meals just let me know. I'm in Davie, but I could set everything up and then take it to Orlando or any other place.

We'll definately be in touch regarding the food situation. There are a bunch of things we want to do this year that we just didnt have the time or resources to do last year. Chelsea and I realized quickly how much time and $$$ it takes to put on an event like this.

yeah it will still be centrally located in Florida, but we are still thinking of exact locations.

We could always use Red Bug park again in Orlando. The last time we went there I think was about 5 years ago. Seemed to be a good central location, easy access.

Our basic requirements for a location are this:

1. Central Location (in the state)
2. Easy access
3. Close hotels

I found it on yahoo maps. There are a lot of hotels near-by. Its central in the state, and its not too far away from I-4.
